Description

The EpiFlex Simulator is an advanced anatomical model designed for training in episiotomy and episiorraphy. It combines a high level of realism, durability, and a modular interchangeable pad system, enabling repeated and efficient practice in academic and clinical settings. It facilitates safe, progressive, and standardized learning.

Key Features

1. Interchangeable pad system: Includes specific replacement pads for episiotomy and episiorraphy at different complexity levels. Allows the simulator base to be reused, optimizing costs and ensuring training continuity.
2. Resistance: Provides realistic tissue resistance during both cutting and suturing. For example, the simple pad includes 4 episiotomies, allowing approximately 32 suturing repetitions.
3. Stratified tissue planes: Structure composed of differentiated layers: skin, subcutaneous tissue, and superficial muscle plane. Supports suturing-by-plane training, replicating the real technique of perineal repair.

Number of Uses

• Anatomical episiorraphy pad: can be sutured approximately 8 times; includes 1 pre-made episiotomy.
• Intensive episiorraphy pad: can be sutured approximately 32 times; includes 4 pre-made episiotomies.
• Episiotomy pad: can be cut between 4 and 6 times (can be rotated for greater performance).

1. Simulator base: labia majora, anus, suction cups for fixation.
2. Episiotomy pad.
3. Anatomical episiorraphy pad: labia minora, clitoral hood, vaginal vestibule, introitus and vaginal canal, perineum, vulvar fourchette.
4. Intensive episiorraphy pad: includes 2 schematic vulvas, each with its vaginal canal and 2 episiotomies.
5. Episiorraphy frame.
6. Episiotomy frame: includes a section of the baby’s head to apply pressure on the episiotomy pad.
7. Fixing bolts.
