Description
The pressure ulcer simulator is a training tool designed to recreate a highly realistic environment, allowing for effective practice of ulcer debridement. It was developed and validated with input from healthcare experts, ensuring that each anatomical layer is faithfully represented. This model represents a Stage 4 ulcer, with full-thickness skin loss, extensive tissue destruction, and necrosis reaching the muscle layer. One of its most distinctive features is the encapsulated blood inside the wound, simulating blood vessels. This allows trainees to visualize healthy tissue and avoid damaging it during the procedure.
